SELF ESTEEM

The world today have gotten so busy such that there is little or no time to sit back and think or encourage one in one's self. A lot of young people take rash decision and act without a second thought.  As a result, lot of young people make a lot of mistake and live with so many consequences. Most commonly, the only time we young folks sit to thinks is after our actions and often times, the outcome are usually not pleasant. But still, we are forced to go through life with the burden of such consequences, after all, as the old saying goes "what you sow is what you reap.
Well, the message tonight is not meant to add insult to injury, no. On the contrary, it's meant to highlight certain measures that may help to restore and maintain self esteem. Oftentimes, it is the most affected and I like to say that self esteem is the pivot point of every ones life. When it's too low, buuuuuuuuh... when it's too high...hmm mm, I'd rather not say. but a healthy self esteem?now that's my comfort zone. And I seriously wish all could be there irrespective of your age, see and status in society. You'll make rapid progress in the right direction if only you'll decide to give it a try.
1.                        FREE YOUR MIND
First things first, free your mind. As a doctor, if you can clear the mind and get it right, you've treated half of the ailment. So clear your mind of the heavy weight and get rid of the excess baggages. You feel guilty ; yes. You shouldn't have done that; yes. They shouldn't have said nor done that; yes! But guess what? They did it anyway and probably don't remember it anymore. So, whose suffering?.. you of course. It isn't worth it. Get ride of the excess baggage. Forgive unconditionally, let it go with or without apology.
2.                     YOU ARE HUMAN
Accept the fact that you are human. While we are trying to attain perfection, mistakes are inevitable. Acknowledge your mistake, learn from it and move on. The ability to acknowledge and learn from your mistakes makes you a healthy human and the ability not to repeat them makes you a supper human. Don't forget that great people are ordinary people with an extra ordinary amount of determination.
3.                       APPRECIATE YOU
Appreciate yourself and your efforts. It's totally healthy to stand in front of the mirror once in a while and appreciate  yourself. Appreciation will grow into likeness and likeness into love. Trust me, you can't love anyone if you don't love yourself first. The reason is simple, you can't give what you don't have.
4.                       THINK HAPPY THOUGHTS
This is where the law of attraction comes into play. Love begets love, happiness begets happiness and sorrow begets sorrow. There's no way happiness and joy will come to you when you harbor bitterness in your heart. Negative thought attract negative things and vice versa. So think happy thought and have joyous images in ur heart.
5.                            AVOID RASH DECISIONS
Always take a moment to think before taking decisions. After which, you take a minute to scrutinize them again. Always evaluate your actions before they are carried out and always have an image of the anticipated outcome in your head. By so doing, you will reduce greatly your chances of making mistakes.
6.                             AVOID ASSUMPTIONS
Stop the assumptions. Stop thinking for people. You have more than enough to think of already, don't you? Then why carry another man's load? Just be yourself and do your thing. If it really bugs anyone, let them come ask you. Otherwise, let the sleeping dog lye. Same applies to you concerning others. If you have any questions simply go ahead and ask. It will save you a whole lot of headache.

Feel free to contribute.
